About

I’m a playwright, screenwriter and author.

I live in Glasgow and have a base in London.

I love story-telling across mediums, but predominantly write for stage and screen. I’m often drawn to character-led stories with humour and heart, exploring big social and political questions through intimate personal drama.

My theatre credits include ABOUT MONEY (Theatre503, 2021; Summerhall 2022) and HOME (Rehearsed Reading, Traverse Theatre, 2023). I’ve been a Breakthrough Writer in Residence at the Traverse Theatre, a BBC Writers’ Scottish Voice and I’m a graduate of the Soho Theatre’s Writers Lab. I am currently developing an original television project as part of Channel 4’s New Writers Scheme. My stage work has been shortlisted for the Saint Andrews Playwriting Award and Best New Production at the Scottish Theatre Awards.

I am also a published author and journalist, and have worked in the third sector in Glasgow for over a decade. My experience working with communities has influenced my creative work, and I’m passionate about widening access to the arts and supporting others to tell their stories.

When I’m not writing or working, I’m usually at a karaoke bar pretending I’m David Bowie, or watching the Real Housewives and calling it sociological research.
